The Cosmetology and Barbering program offers a curriculum certified by the State of Rhode Island. This four-year program prepares students for entry level employment in beauty salons, and/or post-secondary education. The program includes the theory and technical aspects of hair care, nail technologies and skin care. In order to prepare for the State Cosmetology Exams, students must have 1,500 hours of hands-on experience. Nail Technician certification is also available to students. 

In Davies fully equipped salon, students learn, firsthand, all the skills they need for future success. Students practice their skills and develop speed and proficiency as they provide services for the public at Davies Salon.  The salon is open to the public on Fridays from 8:45 a.m - 11:00 a.m.
